I remember one of the crew talking about Life Jackets, when we started The Cream Trip/Day in the Bay.
But that is just about all.
We were also given a map of the Bay of Islands, New Zealand, which I put in my pocket.
On the other side of the map is a guide to the Bay of Islands, 14 items, some advertising, and right at the top of the page I find the “LIFE JACKET INSTRUCTIONS”.
“Please take time to study instructions carefully. Or ask one of the crew for help,” it says there also.
And it is only now, two days later, that I am looking properly at the insructions.
There are five pictures showing me how to put the jacket on, starting with the picture showing someone taking it from under the seat.
I notice that it does not only say to study the instructions, but it says also to study them carefully. I am also glad that it says that I can ask a crew member for help.
I REMEMBER ONE OF THE CREW MEMBERS TALKING ABOUT LIFE JACKETS, but I have no explanation why I did not take time to study the instructions on the paper carefully.
Have you heard people talking about the Bible and the Lord Jesus Christ, but have never taken time to study the instructions in the Bible carefully?
It is important to follow the five pictures on the paper we were given carefully, but do we really know how important it is to follow the instructions in the Bible?
The Bible says in John 3:18:
“Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in God’s one and only Son.”
I know that the Lord Jesus Christ is my Saviour.
DO YOU?
