Not long ago I saw in Auckland the following “Payday Advance” advertisement:

“Up to $750 cash

When the boss won’t help, we can !”

I only noticed the ad after I had taken the picture. “What an offer!” I am thinking now , while ,looking at the picture – but that is certainly not for me.

I would actually be ashamed to ask for my pay before payday.

Arriving back in Kaitaia I found the following verse from the Bible in our local paper: “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, ‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.'” You find that verse in Hebrews 13:5.
