Here is what I am learning about hospice shops.
THERE ARE WORKERS WHO RECEIVE A SALARY.
Each shop has a paid manager.
THERE ARE ALSO WORKERS WHO ARE VOLUNTEERS.
Volunteers know that they are helping a good cause. That is their satisfaction.
I know of course that volunteers don’t receive a salary, but I am learning that because they are volunteers they work harder than if they would receive a salary.
Hard to believe?
I am told that that is “an interesting dynamic.”
