The Bible is also known by other titles. Other titles are “the Scriptures” and “the Writings”. The Bible is also known by the title The Word of God. In Hebrews 4:12 we read:
“FOR THE WORD OF GOD IS LIVING AND ACTIVE.”
At the present time I am learning that the words of people in power matter. What can words of people in power do? They can set the direction for administration policy. They can reassure allies. They can also set allies on edge. When it comes to opponents, they can make them angry or they can quiet them. The words of people in power can even move financial markets.
God is omnipotent. He possesses all power. If the words of people in power matter, how much more do the words of God matter, who possesses all power?
Isaiah 66:2 says:
“‘THIS IS THE ONE I ESTEEM, HE WHO IS HUMBLE AND CONTRITE IN SPIRIT AND TREMBLES AT MY WORD.'”
And let us also remember that The Word of God says in Matthew 24:35:
“HEAVEN AND EARTH WILL PASS AWAY, BUT MY WORDS WILL NEVER PASS AWAY.'”
