Is that our problem?

“WHEN YOU EDUCATE A MAN IN  MIND AND NOT IN  MORALS, YOU EDUCATE A MENACE TO SOCIETY.”

Theodore Roosevelt

We are educating people in mind in our schools.

Are we not educating people in morals in churches?

Mark 6:31

“Then, because so many people where coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, ‘Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.'”

People under Stress!

It is very difficult to help people who are under stress. I am reading in an autobiography that the writer was told by his wife to rest, but he did not see it at all.

He writes:

— The more I needed a rest, the more I worked. That is a very strange thing!

— I even imagined that they could not manage without me.

— Sometimes I imagined that I was resting – but my mind was working faster than ever.

In His time the Lord put up his Stop Sign. On the stop sign was written:

YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE A TERRIBLE CAR ACCIDENT AND YOU AND YOUR WIFE WILL BE IN HOSPITAL FOR A VERY LONG TIME.

After the accident the writer received a letter from a friend:

— I have been worried about you.

— You have been under terrible stress.– The Lord says, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” Mark 6:31

— The Lord in his love has given you a break.

Let us ask the Lord to send Evangelists into the Harvest Field, especially here in New Zealand!

Matthew 9:37,38 was really emphasized at the Bible College I went to. There it says:

“Then he said to his disciples, ‘the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.'”

Ephesians 4:11

“It was he who gave some to be

—  apostles, some to be

—  prophets, some to be

— evangelists, and some to be

—  pastors and

—  teachers,………”  Read on!

The Church – Post Number: 1900

Something what I learned about churches while I was still in Germany comes to my mind. We say in German:

Missionsgemeinden sind bluehende Gemeinden!

The meaning of that sentence is that evangelizing churches and witnessing churches are thriving, flourishing churches.

Alban Douglas in his book “One hundred Bible Lessons” is listing four purposes of the church on page 177:

1. To worship God and glorify him on earth. Ephesians 1:4-6

2. To evangelize the world with the Gospel. Matthew 28:19,20

3. To teach and instruct Christians.  Ephesians 4:11-15

4. To witness constantly. Acts 1:8
