“When one door closes, another opens. But often we look so long, regretfully, upon the closed door that we fail to see the one that has opened for us.”

Before I went to Thailand from Germany in 1966 I had to apply for a visa. On the visa was written, that it had to be utilized before a certain date in December 1966. After that date it was no longer valid.
I utilized my visa for Thailand before that certain date and was able to spend time in Thailand as a missionary for thirteen years.
Just now we are living in the time of grace. It is now the time of grace for all of us. We don’t even need to apply for the time of grace . It is there just now for all of us. All we need to do is utilize the time of grace. Our time of grace must also be utilized before a certain date…. Unfortunately we don’t know the date, because we don’t know the time when we are going to die.
The following definition of grace is well know. God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense! We are utilizing our time of grace by believing in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
From the time we are believing in the Lord Jesus Christ the Bible, the Word of the Living God, becomes alive for us and the promises in the Bible become also alive for us.
And this is actually what I was going to write about:
HOW DO WE UTILIZE THE MANY PROMISES IN THE WORD OF THE LIVING GOD?
For example the beautiful promise in Psalm 68:19
“Praise be to the Lord,
to God our Savior,
who daily bears our burdens.”
“BE STRONG IN THE GRACE THAT IS IN CHRIST JESUS.”
Second Timothy 2:1
Recently I received an Email asking me about the shortage of water here in Kaitaia. The Email said also that one would expect that in Thailand and not in New Zealand. The writer was a missionary in Japan and we worked with the same missionary society in Thailand.
The news about the Kaitaia water problem is spreading!
Mostly every morning I am reading a devotional book written by C. H. Spurgeon and this morning he is writing about grace.
There is a well known man of God and he says “I live in the State of Grace”.
Spurgeon says that the reservoir empties itself into pipes. In the same way Christ has emptied out His grace for His people.
At one stage we were told in the local paper that it would not take many more days and the water reservoir would be empty.
Will the reservoir of the grace of God ever be empty. What do you think?
“FROM THE FULLNESS OF HIS GRACE WE HAVE ALL RECEIVED ONE BLESSING AFTER ANOTHER.”
This is a tweet I read. Don’t know who said it!
“Any person who only sticks with Christianity as long as things are going his or her way, is a stranger to the cross.”
“For I resolved to know nothing
while I was with you
except
Jesus Christ and him
crucified.”
First Corinthians 2:2
