The Nights are getting shorter!

Sunrise 7:16AM

Sunset 5:42PM

That’s what the paper says today on the fourth of August 2009.F1190021

Today we had ten hours and twenty-six minutes daylight.

On the shortest day, the 21st of June we had nine hours and forty-six minutes daylight.

That means that we had forty minutes more daylight than we had on the shortest day.

I am looking forward to the time when there is no night at all.

We are reading about that time in the last book of the Bible, in the book of Revelation.

Revelation 21:25

“…, for there will be no night there.”

Revelation 22:5

“There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.”

“Brewer to the World.”

It was all on the back of the T – shirt. The wearer of the shirt was sitting with the back to me and I could read the message without trouble. The name of the brewery was given and also the locality. Somewhere here in New Zealand. And here is the last sentence:

“BREWER TO THE WORLD.”

What a vision!

My vision is SOWER TO THE WORLD!

Praise the Lord, that it is now possible to be a sower to the world; the World Wide Web is making it possible right now.

The seed is the word of God. Luke 8:11. Please read the whole Parable of the Sower in Luke 8:1-15.

WHAT IS YOUR VISION?

This morning……

This morning, when I tried to get in touch with two offices by phone,……… and it was really frustrating, – you know exactly what I am talking about – I was reminded of two GOLDEN NUGGETS.

Here they are:

Psalm 50:15

“and call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.” ( I am well aware of the context!)

Isaiah 65:24

“Before they call I will answer;…”

“Life…….. It is the flash of a firefly in the night, the breath of a buffalo in the winter. It is the little shadow, which runs across the grass, and loses itself in the sunset….” – Crowfoot (Blackfeet Elder)

Paul, the Apostle, was an Expert Builder

“The important thing about your lot in life is whether you use it for building or parking.” – Coffee News , 03. 08. 09

First Corinthians 3:10-11

“By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as an expert builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should be careful how he builds. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.”

Read the whole chapter three of First Corinthians – only 22 verses!
