Dwelling in your Sanctuary-Living on your Holy Hill

Psalm 15:1-5

Intr.: LORD, who may dwell in your sanctuary? Wo may live on your holy hill?

1. He whose walk is blameless and

2. who does what is righteous,

3. who speaks the truth from his heart and

4. has no slander on his tongue,

5. who does his neighbor no wrong and

6. casts no slur on his fellowman,

7. who dispises a vile man

8. but honours those who fear the Lord,

9. who keeps his oath even when it hurts,

10. who lends his money without usury and

11. does not receive a bribe against the innocent

end: He who does these things will never be shaken.

“STATE FUNERAL INSURANCE!”

I received a letter today which started with “WE CAN’T PREDICT THE FUTURE, BUT WE CAN HELP YOU PREPARE FOR IT.” And then it said, “Dear Mr Dekarski As you already…”

My response:

Dear State Funeral Insurance People,

I am glad that you are admitting that you cannot predict the future. Because you cannot predict the future you cannot really help me to prepare for it.

But I know that the Lord Jesus Christ knows the future and I know also that the Lord Jesus Christ has prepared a glorious future for me. I do not want to go into details in this letter. May this brief note suffice for the time being. But should you be really curious, read the Bible, the Word of the Living God.

ISAIAH 30:15 -ANOTHER GOLDEN NUGGET

Isaiah 30:15

This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel says:”In repentance and rest is your salvation, IN QUIETNESS and trust IS YOUR STRENGTH, but you would have none of it.”

Some years ago I repeated this verse quite often in my mind and it helped me to be quiet. Sometimes to be quiet is the only way out. Have you ever been in a situation like that?

I have just now. That’s why I wrote it down!

“ON EAGLES’ WINGS”

The campervan with “ON EAGLES’ WINGS” written on it was parked today (Sunday) on the Church parking lot of the Baptist Church and I spoke to the couple.

1. .. and said, “Let us help you build…” (Why did the enemies ask to help with the building?)

B. THEN THE PEOPLE AROUND THEM ….

1. .. set out to discourage the people of Judah ..

2. .. and make them afraid. ..

3. They hired counselers

a. to work against them

b. and frustrate their plans ..

4. , .. they lodged an accusation ..

5. .. wrote a letter..
