“A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS”
Isaiah 51:15
For I am the Lord your God, who churns up the sea so that its waves roar–the Lord Almighty is his name.

RELATIONSHIPS & COMMUNICATION
One chapter of the business course I am doing is devoted to Relationships and Communication. Business people know about the importance of relationships and communication.
Do we know the importance as Christians also?
It says there under QUALITY Relationships: Quality Relationships are those ones that bring a spark or a sense of joy to our lives.
Do we have a quality relationship with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ that brings a spark of joy to our lives?
Do we have a quality relationship with our fellow believers that brings a sense of joy to our lives?

Business Interview
Did my business interview today: Stepping into business.
That is Assessment 1 for Module 1: First steps to business.
I interviewed the owner of the RESENE COLOURSHOP in Kaitaia.
Adults who cannot read
I have always been interested in adults who cannot read.
It was interesting today to have the situation explained by somebody who knows a lot about it!
Saw this advertisement today in a Christian paper:
CAN YOU TELL STORIES THAT GROW THE HEART?
Two-thirds of the world depend on hearing and speaking rather than reading and writing for communication. Westerners need to relearn the art of story telling to share, walk and gather the unreached. This seminar will teach you to tell stories.
Story Telling Seminar in Sydney
selecting Bible stories that speak to key issues telling Bible stories in simple, reproducible ways helping people engage with and retell Bible stories.
I am enjoying the course: First steps to Business.
Today we did section 3 of Module one ( Taking the first Steps) called: personal Goalsetting and success.
When I picked up the paper today I read:
GOLD COAST HOLIDAY ESCAPES
Gold Coast Short Breaks/ Gold Coast Getaways/ Gold Coast Family Fun
Add on Gold Coast Experience
I was thinking straight away: You cannot escape and get away from a guilty conscience! It goes with you wherever you go.
The more we are letting go, the more the Lord can give us.
But it is difficult to let go!
When we came back from Thailand at the end of 1979 we had so much stuff that we had to transport some of our belongings by boat in a 40 gallon drum. When the drum arrived at the Auckland harbour I was notified to pick the drum up.
When the custom official took everything out of the drum he came to a Nordmende Radio from Germany. When he demanded tax for the radio I said,” One thing is for sure, I am not paying tax for that radio. I have used the radio many many years in Thailand and it is partly broken, FM does not work any more.”
But he was adament and wanted tax for it. Then I told him blandly,” I am not going to pay tax for that old and broken radio. You can have it or you can throw it here into the water. You have my permission to do so.”
When he saw that I was serious he handed the radio over without me paying anything for it.
Are we willing to let go?

While studying at Bible College I had trouble understanding one portion of Scripture in the New Testament, to be exact James 2:14-26. May be you want to read the verses now. Please click on the address!
I even went to talk to the principal in the office– but I did not get the point. Even Martin Luther, the German reformer, had trouble understanding the book of James.
He found it difficult to harmonize James with Paul. Justification by Faith alone and Faith without works is dead.
But what the reformers said helped me greatly:
FAITH ALONE SAVES, BUT NOT THE FAITH WHICH IS ALONE!
