“Do small things with great passion,” is written on the small, beautiful card, I am looking at.
I found the beautifully written card together with other things in a small parcel, I received today by courier. It is always a joy to receive post, especially parcels from loved ones.
But what a challenge it is to do the small things with enthusiasm every day! Or don’t you think that doing the dishes day-in and day-out is a small thing? I think it is.

A sermon that was preached at Westminster Chapel many years ago has been so far the sermon that has been the most helpful sermon for my life as a Christian.
The sermon was preached by Dr Lloyd-Jones and you find the sermon in the book:
“SPIRITUAL DEPRESSION
Its Causes and Cure.”
“Selected as one of the most significant contemporary Christian books.”
In the sermon D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones talks about the “tyranny of circumstances,” and says also that “The heart and mind are outside our control.”
All I can say is, “Get hold of the book SPIRITUAL DEPRESSION, and read the sermon.”
The sermon is called “The Peace of God,” and the text is Philippians 4:6 and 7.

From May until September 1963 I used to live in London at the HQ of WEC International, 19 Highland Road, Upper Norwood. WEC International is a Missionary Society.
I remember one of the candidates taking me to Westminster Chapel in Buckingham Gate to hear D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones. I wish now that I would remember more, but even what I remember is a bit blurred. Too long ago?
