“It helps to talk.” “Find someone to talk to.”
That is the message I find while reading the magazine “UPSTART”. The message is not only in english, but also in Maori: “He pai ake te korero.”
Tell someone that you are feeling sad, that you are feeling lost, that you are feeling lonely, that you are feeling angry, is the message.
But it is also pointed out to talk to someone you can trust,
Do you have a friend you can trust? Is there an elder you can trust? Is there a kaumatua you can trust? Is there a youth leader you can trust?
I have a friend I can really trust. My friend is the Lord Jesus Christ. He says in John 15:14:
“‘You are my friends if you do what I command.'”
I have learned that: “‘Prayer is talking with Jesus.'” “‘Prayer is the soul of man talking to God.'”
The Lord Jesus Christ has found me and I talk to the Lord Jesus Christ about everything.
There is SPIRITUAL health and there is PHYSICAL health.
By physical we mean of or relating to the body.
What does the body give us? Through the senses the body gives us the ability to understand. Sight, hearing, taste, touch and smell are the five senses of man. . That is the consciousness of the world.
By spiritual we mean relating to the spirit and the soul.
We communicate with God through our spirit. The soul gives us the ability to be a person.
In Matthew 4:4 the Lord Jesus Christ says:
“MAN DOES NOT LIVE BY BREAD ALONE, BUT BY EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDETH OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD.”
Pharmacies telling us to go healthy physically. The Lord Jesus Christ tells us to go healthy spiritually.
On the cross the Lord Jesus Christ died to redeem the soul of man.
About putting some things on the list, I am reading in the book. The list is “the bucket list.”
I don’t know what is on your list, but I know what is on my list.
If you do not have RECEIVE THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AND BELIEVE IN HIS NAME on your list, add it now.
The above mentioned book is called Glimpses of Te Omanga (100 + Hospice Stories), and it is collated by Beryl Anderson. I have heard before about the film “The Bucket List,” and it is not surprising that the film “The Bucket List” is mentioned in this book at least twice. It is a memorable film, I am told. I have not seen it. Please let me know, if you have.
In the book Glimpses of Te Omanga is also someone mentioned who has still some things to cross off his “bucket list.”
If you have not received the Lord Jesus Christ as yet and if you have not believed in him yet, do it now.
THAT IS THE ONLY WAY TO BECOME A CHILD OF GOD.
“It’s not how much we give, but how much we put into giving,” I am reading on the sign standing on the footpath.
Thinking about it, reminds me of a portion of the Bible
There are two parts, namely “It’s not how much we give,” and “but how much we put into giving.”
“IT’S NOT HOW MUCH WE GIVE.”
There are the rich people. They are giving big sums of money. The Lord Jesus Christ watched them doing it one day.
BUT HOW MUCH WE PUT INTO GIVING.”
But there are also the poor people.
On the same day when the Lord Jesus Christ watched the rich people offering lots of money, the Lord Jesus watched also a poor widow putting two lepta (two very small copper coins) into the temple treasury.
And what does the Lord Jesus Christ say? He said that the rich people are giving because they are so rich, but the poor widow “‘put in all she had to live on.'”
He said, “I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others.”
