Discipline (Not pleasant at the time, but painful – The Bible)

Because God is treating us as sons, he disciplines us.

Here are the BLESSINGS of discipline:

1. It is for our good.

2. We share in his holiness.

3. it produces a harvest of righteousness.

4. It produces a harvest of peace.

Humans are looking for someone dependable, someone to put their trust in.

Businesses know that.

On my way to the centre of town today I passed a shop on which was written “‘Totally dependable.'”

Our creator knows that also.

That’s why the Lord Jesus Christ says, “‘Trust in God; trust also in me.'” – John 14:1

(Augustine says: “OUR HEARTS ARE RESTLESS UNTIL THEY FIND REST IN THEE.”)

I don’t know about the totally dependability of businesses, but I know that God is totally dependable. David knew that also, because he says in Psalm 62:7 “My salvation and my honour depend on God.”
