“Dedicated to looking after you,” and “Caring for our community,” I am reading on the small paper bag, in which we received our purchases from the pharmacy today.

Reading that made me look up “looking after” and “caring for” in the Bible.

In Ezekiel 34:11 the Sovereign LORD says, “I myself will search for my sheep and look after them.”

And in Ezekiel 34:12 we read, “As a shepherd looks after his scattered flock when he is with them, so will I look after my sheep.”

The Lord Jesus Christ is our shepherd.

“Cast all your anxieties on him because he cares for you,” it says in First Peter 5:7.

Who is looking after you and caring for you?

I am glad that not only the pharmacy is looking after me and caring for me, but that the Sovereign LORD is looking after me and caring for me as well.

International Day of Older Persons is celebrated worldwide on October 1.

Are you an older Person and believe what the Bible says? Then this promise is for you:

“Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.” – Isaiah 46:4

I surely wish I would know more about plants.

I have been so many times in Pukenui, that it becomes more and more difficult to hunt for new pictures. But here we are:

We live in a day of very low moral standards.

Marriage vows are easily broken. Have we forgotten how long a marriage contract is? Divorce is considered common.

HERE ARE SOME REASONS WHY PEOPLE SHOULD AVOID DIVORCE:

• Divorce ruins love and happiness in marriage.
• The children must be considered, if there are any. They suffer most. You probably know children who are suffering now.
• Divorce is a public admission of utter failure.
• Economic disaster usually follows divorce.

How long is a marriage contract? The answer is, “till death breaks it.”

And let us always remember that God’s laws and standards never change.

There is no doubt that we live in a day of very low moral standards, but I do not know that the kind-of-good news is that marriage break ups happen to everyone.
