THE CROSS
“O LORD,
Jeremiah 17:13
Intr.:
the hope of Israel,
1. all who forsake you will be put to shame.
2. Those who turn away from you will be written in the dust
End:
because they have forsaken the LORD, the spring of living water.”

Living at the foot of the cross
“If we forget to live at the foot of the cross in deepest lowliness of spirit, God won’t forget to make us feel the pain of His rod.” – C. H. Spurgeon

“RESTRICTIONS”
“Water restrictions hit Kaikohe and Kaitaia,” is the article in our local paper, THE NORTHLAND AGE, (Tuesday, March 14, 2014) called. In the article it says, “As of today it is illegal, under council’s general bylaw, to use an outdoor hose, …”
An another local paper, NORTHERN NEWS, Wednesday, March 5, 2014, I read, “Water use restrictions expanded.”
Outdoor Hose
It is not pleasant to hear about drinking water restrictions.
In the BIBLE we do not only read about drinking water, but also about LIVING WATER!
In Jeremiah 17:13 we are told that the LORD is the “SPRING OF LIVING WATER”.
Living Water comes from the temple.
Living Water will flow in spring, summer autumn and winter, it will flow at any time.
Living Water comes from the Lord Jesus Christ.
Living Water is what we really need.
There is no end to Living Water.
Living Water produces many crops.
Drinking water restrictions hit Kaikohe and Kaitaia, but Living Water restrictions will never hit Kaikohe and Kaitaia, nor any other place in the world.
The whole world is invited to drink from the Water of Life.
“The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’ And let him who hears say, ‘Come!’ Whoever is thirsty, let him come, and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the WATER OF LIFE.” – Revelation 22:17
Sermon Outline – NT – NIV
“Here is a trustworthy saying:
Second Timothy 2:11-13
Intr.:
1. If we died with him,
we will also live with him;
2. if we endure,
we will also reign with him.
3. If we disown him,
he will also disown us;
4. if we are faithless,
he will remain faithful, for he cannot disown himself.”
End:
“Great is his faithfulness”
WORSHIP
“What we worship will eventually destroy us.”
I don’t know of course if that were the exact words, but that’s what I remember from a sermon I heard some time ago.
True or False?
Today I am reading in the book THERE’S A NEW WORLD COMING by Hal Lindsey that “ecologists tell us that man’s selfishness threatens to pollute him off the planet.”
Worshiping our selfishness (ourselves) threatens to destroy us.
Unfortunately the answer is TRUE!
“BEST-INFORMED”
“Use a Collins dictionary, and be one of the best-informed language users in the world,” I am reading today on the back cover of my Collins English Dictionary, I have had already for quite some time.
And this is what I want to say to you, “Use a BIBLE, and be one of the best-informed readers in the world.
