I am asking myself a question!

The question I am asking myself is, “How many Bible verses have you committed to memory?”

I am reading the Bible almost every day. I have read the Bible several times from cover to cover. And when I write from cover to cover, I mean every word.

MEMORIZING VERSES FROM THE BIBLE

MEMORIZING VERSES FROM THE BIBLE

But lately I am asking myself, “How many verses from the Bible have you committed to memory? How many Bible verses have you learned so as to remember?”

My answer is, “I have not committed enough verses from the Bible to memory, but I will will find out how many and I know that I must commit more to memory in the future.”

What do you know about SOLOMON?

wernerweb-150x150What do you know about SOLOMON?

This is what I learned:

There is first of all Solomon’s wisdom.

“God gave Solomon wisdom and very great insight, and a breadth of understanding as measureless as the sand on the seashore.” – First Kings 4:29

Secondly we are reading about Solomon’s covenant with God.

Thirdly the sad thing happens: Solomon fails to keep the covenant.

His wives turned his heart from God. (First Kings 11:1-13)

“King Solomon, however, loved many foreign women…” – First Kings 11:1 “Nevertheless, Solomon held fast to them in love.” – First Kings 11:2

Fourthly and lastly the Bible tells us about his adversaries.

HADAD was an Edomite and an adversary of Solomon, raised up against him by the LORD.

REZON was a son of Eliada and an adversary of Solomon, raised up against Solomon by God.

JEROBOAM was one of Solomon’s officials and he rebelled against Solomon.

I KNOW THAT THE LIFE OF SOLOMON IS A SOLEMN WARNING FOR ALL OF US!
