Here are two quotes. The first is by William Booth and the second by  A. W. TOZER:

“The Salvation Army stands for hope; that when every other light is extinguished, and every other star has gone down, this one gleam shines steadily and clearly out in the sky: ‘If I could only get the Salvation Army, they will do something for me.'” – William Booth, International Congress Address, 1904

“Churches and societies founded by saintly men with courage, faith and sanctified imagination appear unable to propagate themselves on the same spiritual level beyond one or two generations.” – A. W. Tozer

THE AMPLIFIED BIBLE

“LITERACY + JESUS = HOPE”

I am reading in  a BIBLE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL  NEW ZEALAND publication. (April 2013) It says there also: “800 Million people throughout the world cannot read or write which means that they cannot read the BIBLE.”
