NEW ZEALAND BOOK MONTH

New Zealand Book Month: 1st-31st March 2013.

Was I glad to read in our local paper, THE NORTHLAND AGE, Tuesday, March 5, 2013, that NEW ZEALAND BOOK MONTH is “a national campaign to build a nation of dedicated readers.”

I would like it to be a national campaign to build a nation of dedicated readers of the BIBLE.

Read the BIBLE!

“THE BOOK OF BOOKS”

WHY WOULD I LIKE THAT?

The answer is that the BIBLE is “THE BOOK OF BOOK.”

And here are two GOLDEN NUGGETS from “THE BOOK OF BOOKS”:

“But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew all men. He did not need man’s testimony about man, for he knew what was in a man.” – John 2:24,25

“‘They are not just idle words for you – they are your life. By them you live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess.'” – Deuteronomy 32:47

Quote

14. 02. 2013 120“It is only in the light of God’s hatred and abhorrence of sin that we can really see His love, and appreciate the wonder and the glory of the gospel.” – Martyn Lloyd-Jones

In which book do you find the following passage?

In which book do you find the following passage?

“The most gentle and sensitive woman among you – so sensitive and gentle that she would not venture to touch the ground with the sole of her foot – will begrudge the husband  she loves and her own son or daughter the afterbirth from her womb and the children she bears. For she intends to eat them secretly during the siege and in the distress that your enemy will inflict on you in your cities.”
