“These six towns

so that anyone who has killed another accidentally can flee there.”
Reading the Bible.
At the beginning of this year (2016) I started to read the Bible at the beginning (Genesis 1:1), and arrived today at Numbers chapter 28.
In Numbers chapter 28 we read about the “Daily Offerings, Sabbath Offerings, Monthly Offerings, the Passover” and the “Feast of Weeks”.
Why am I telling you about this again? Good question.
To encourage you to do the same. Also to give the glory to God, because I cannot do it on my own. I know, because I have tried for a long time.
When I mean reading the Bible from cover to cover, from Genesis to Revelation, I mean reading every word.
Why? Because the author of the Bible is God the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit is a person. (That is at least one reason.)
“But if you will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you,
Numbers 33:55,56 (The Amplified Bible)
Intr.:
then those you let remain of them
a. shall be as pricks in your eyes, and
b. as thorns in your sides, and they
c. shall vex you in the land in which you dwell.
End:
And as I thought to do to them, so will I do to you.”
“Has any god ever tried
Deuteronomy 4:34
Intr.:
to take for himself one nation out of another nation,
A. by testings,
B. by miraculous
a. signs and
b. wonders,
C. by war,
D. by a mighty hand and outstretched arm, or
E. by great and awesome deeds,
End:
like all the things the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your very eyes?”
“Unless we understand how numbers are put together, and what they mean, we run the risk of seeing problems where there are none, of missing urgent and addressable needs, of being outraged by fantasies while overlooking real horrors, and of recommending policies that are fundamentally misconceived.” – Angus Deaton
“The best way
to start the day,”
is the article called. (The Northland Age, Tuesday, February 23, 2016)
I am told again that the best way to start a new day is to eat a healthy breakfast. I learn also that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
But we are not only body, we are body, soul and spirit.
The Lord Jesus Christ says in Matthew 4:4: (The Amplified Bible)
“It has been written, Man shall not live and be upheld and sustained by bread alone, but by every word that comes forth from the mouth of God.” [Deuteronomy 8:3]
That’s why the best way to start a new day is not only to eat a healthy breakfast, but also to read the Bible and pray.
