Abundant Life Centre & Church

The Lord is leading his people. I experienced that again today.

What a blessing it was to attend the Service at the ABUNDANT LIFE CENTRE & CHURCH, 11 North Road, KAITAIA.

Have You ever asked one of the following six Questions?

“THE FOOL SAYS IN HIS HEART, ‘THERE IS NO GOD.'” – Psalm 14:1

?????? ?????? ??????

Have you ever asked one of the following six questions?

1. “Will the LORD reject forever?”

2. “Will he never show his favor again?”

3. “Has his unfailing love vanished forever?”

4. “Has his promise failed for all time?”

5. “Has God forgotten to be merciful?”

6. “Has he in anger withheld his compassion?” – Psalm 7:7-9

FIRE

Jeremiah 5:14

“‘BECAUSE THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN THESE WORDS, I WILL MAKE MY WORDS IN YOUR MOUTH A FIRE AND THESE PEOPLE THE WOOD  IT CONSUMES.'”

Jeremiah 20:9

“But if I say, ‘I will not mention him or speak any more in his name,’ his word is in my heart like a FIRE, a FIRE shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.'”

Jeremiah 23:29

“‘Is not my word like a FIRE,’ declares the LORD,…….”

There is dross in my life.

What is dross? Dross is waste. Dross is matter that is worthless. Dross is scum. It is formed on the surfaces of molten metals. I am reading that in The Collins Concise Dictionary.

But when I hear the Word of God the dross in my life is consumed. Why? Because the BIBLE, the Word of the Living God, is a burning word!

SUBWAY

Do you pray before you eat your food?

They were not sitting very far from me, the man and the little child. The adult was obviously the father of the little boy.

Before they started their meal I noticed that the father sang a prayer.

On the way out I talked to the complete stranger and was not surprised to find another brother in Christ. The conversation revealed that he goes to a vibrant church here in Kaitaia.

I did not tell him about the prayer!

BOOKS!

In the April 2011 NORTH & SOUTH magazine I am reading on page 100:

“As the magazine marks its 25-year anniversary – and NZ Book Month celebrates books, reading and literacy – we asked six of the stars who’ve peppered  our pages these past decades to identify a book that has had a lasting impact on them – or even changed their life.”

One of the six stars who peppered the pages of the magazine these past decades is Tessa Duder, a writer herself, and she names her most life -changing book and says also “Any book opens a window…”

If you ask me to identify a book that has had a lasting impact on me and even changed my life, I would say that the Bible, the Word of the Living  God, has not only had a lasting, but an everlasting impact on me and has changed my life and is still changing my life.

The Bible does not only open a window, the Bible opens a door, the door to heaven!
