WHO IS CARING FOR ME? WHO IS CARING FOR YOU?

Who is caring for me? Who is caring for you?

Good questions? I think so.

I can tell you. I have it here black on white. The medicine I received from the pharmacy was in a small paper bag. On the bag is written:

“Your Pharmacy Caring for you!”

I have the bag here in front of me.

Who else is caring for me? I have also the Bible, the Word of the Living God here in front of me. In the Bible I read in the New Testament in the first book Peter wrote:

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” – First Peter 5:7

What a promise of the Living God. Let me repeat the promise:

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” – First Peter 5:7

We must throw. We must learn to throw. I think I am still learning to throw.

We must learn to throw all our anxieties on the Lord.

And I certainly don’t need to tell you what anxieties are!

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER FOR CHILDREN

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER FOR CHILDREN

SUNDAY 31 JULY

 CHILDREN ARE OUR GREATEST TREASURE

—– PRAY FOR THEM

—– TELL THEM THE GOSPEL

Tell it to your children, and let your children tell it to their children, and their children to the next generation.” – Joel 1:3

“Seek………” “Seek………” “Seek……”

“Seek first the good things of the mind, and the rest will either be supplied or its loss will not be felt.” – Sir Francis Bacon

“Seek that which is most precious. If you bow down, let it be to a lofty mountain.”

“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” – Matthew 6:33

I KNOW WHAT I AM GOING TO SEEK!

“……live life to the full.”

“…..live life to the full.”

On the page where vitamins and nutrients are advertised in the pharmacy mailer I am reading, “Being fit, healthy and active through each lifestage is everyone’s goal.”

 Is that also your goal?

“Ask your pharmacist to help you live life to the full.” That is another sentence in the mailer and I am reminded of a verse in the Bible.

In John 10:10 the Lord Jesus Christ says, “…….; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (NIV)

I like the New Living Translation, “MY PURPOSE IS TO GIVE THEM A RICH AND SATISFYING LIFE.”  (John 10:10 )

Now, that is a promise of the Living God!

The Lord promises me a rich life. The Lord promises me a satisfying life.

For almost 53  years I can say what David says in Psalm 23:

“The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.

He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me…”

Yes, it is amazing how the Lord leads:

He led me today to the Kaitaia Gospel Hall to meet the guestspeaker Max Vivian and his wife Ngaire. They worked for many years amongst the Aborigines of Australia as missionaries.

Max had a suitcase full of things from his time in Australia. I liked the boomerang best. And what a blessing it was to hear him expound the Word of the Living God!!

I did not know that they were there, but the Lord knew and the  Lord knew also that I always wanted to meet workers from that part of the vineyard.

“……and hear their plan to move New Zealand forward.”

“…..and hear their plan to move New Zealand forward.”

When I read that sentence of the advert in one of  our local papers today, – NORTHERN NEWS, JULY 13, 2011 – a verse from the Bible, from the Old Testament, came to my mind. It is the well known verse Jeremiah 29:11. One coffee shop here in town has that verse written on one of the walls!

The ad is all about a meeting in Kaitaia and in Kerikeri. The meeting here in Kaitaia is on Monday 25 July at 11.30am at Kaitaia Dalmation Cultural Club.

The avertisement starts with “Meet Don Brash & John Banks in Kaitaia and Kerikeri.”

“…. and hear their plan to move New Zealand forward.”

Many years ago the Lord Jesus Christ met me as he met the apostle Paul long ago on the road to Damascus. Acts 9:1-19

When the Lord  met me the Bible, the Word of the Living God, became alive for me. There are many promises in the Bible. One of the promises is Jeremiah 29:13, where the Lord says:

“‘For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD,

“plans to prosper you and

not to harm you,

plans to give you hope and

a future.'”
