“Spiritual Leadership” by J. O. Sanders
SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP is a book called written by J. Oswald Sanders.
I started reading the book. It was bought today for $1 second hand and it looks as if it has never been read.
Are people not reading books like that any more?
On page 20 he says:
“Spiritual leaders are not made by election or appointment, by men or any combination of men, nor by conferences or synods. ONLY GOD CAN MAKE THEM.”
EVERYTHING!
EVERYTHING!
There are people who cannot manage their money.
Not long ago I attended a CONSUMER RIGHTS DAY forum here in Kaitaia. It was very interesting to listen to the speaker from THE RETIREMENT COMMISSION. She said that 16 % of New Zealanders are not money literate. I have heard about illiterate people and computer literacy. But that was for the first time that I heard about money literacy.
People who cannot manage their money need help.
But I believe that it is impossible to help them, if they don’t tell you everything that has do do with money in their lives.
AND WHEN I SAY EVERYTHING I MEAN EVERYTHING!
Just now I am reading again:
“God can heal a broken life, but he has to have all the pieces.”
And here again, if we want the healing from God, we must tell him everything. We must give him everything. Everything has to be handed over to him. If we are still hanging on to something, there is no healing. It is just as easy as that.
I remember the hymn:
“ALL TO JESUS I SURRENDER,..”
The hymn is written by Judson W. Van De Venter.
Can YOU sing the refrain?
“I SURRENDER ALL,
I SURRENDER ALL,
ALL TO YOU MY BLESSED SAVIOUR,
I SURRENDER ALL.”

“GOD CAN…”
“GOD CAN HEAL A BROKEN LIFE BUT HE HAS TO HAVE ALL THE PIECES.”
“Are you a planner or a last-minute packer?”
I think it was while I was washing my hands in the bathroom, that one of the questions I had read in The New Zealand Herald TRAVEL magazine popped into my head. So I went into our shed to find at least one of the TRAVEL magazines. They were there already to be taken to the tip for recycling with all the other paper.
I found two of the magazines.
In each issue, page two, you read “WHAT I PACK”. People who go on a journey are asked a number of questions. There is also a picture of the people. One of the questions is “Do you travel light or heavy?”
The question that came to my mind while washing my hands was:
“ARE YOU A PLANNER OR A LAST – MINUTE PACKER?”
You remember I found two magazines in the shed, and one traveller did not believe in preparing . The other said that those who go on a journey have to make preparations, at least some.
Is there not the saying “Not preparing is preparing for disaster?”
Sooner or later we are all on our greatest journey, the journey to ETERNITY!
WHAT PREPARATIONS HAVE YOU MADE TO MEET YOUR CREATOR?
What we need is a GUIDE.
There are GUIDES for everything. I am writing this in my socalled “office”, but in our lounge I found just now two guides, the Far North Dining Out Guide 2010 and the “sorted.org.nz YOUR INDEPENDENT MONEY GUIDE.” The Dining Out Guide is out of date.
REMEMBER, THE GUIDE TO ETERNITY IS THE BIBLE, THE WORD OF THE LIVING GOD, AND THE BIBLE WILL BE VALID FOREVER AND EVER! PRAISE THE LORD!
