“NZ FORUM ON THE FAMILY”

“Families First 2011″

“Strong marriages. Strong families. Strong nation.”

The Bible, the Word of the Living God says in Matthew 6:33

“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and  all these things will be given to you as well.”

Getting serious on preaching the GOSPEL!

Romans 1:16 “I am not ashamed of the Gospel,…”

EDUCATION!

Today I am reading again about education. And it is not the first time that I am given the impression that education is the answer.

Don’t get me wrong, I am all for education!

What is the foundation of great futures? Today I am reading that it is education. How will we own our future? Today I am reading that we will own our future through education.

Long ago I came across the following quote by Theodore Rooseveld. He said, “When you educate a man in mind and not in morals, you educate a menace to society.” The quote is alreaday on this blog.

Is education the foundation of great Futures?

The BIBLE, the Word of the Living God says this:

“For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.” – First Corinthians 3:11

The Lord Jesus Christ is the answer!

“SEE US FIRST!”

Have you ever seen advertisements like this?

— “Whatever water requirements you have on the farm….

See us FIRST!”

or

— “See  us first for:-

Bedding & Homewares

Haberdashery & Crafts…….”

The verse in the BIBLE

“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” – Matthew 6:33

comes to my mind when I read ads like that!

“PEACE OF MIND.”

“Peace of mind.”

“Peace of mind.”

“Peace of mind.”

“Peace of mind.”

Lately I have read “peace of mind” many times, on a New Zealand Post HOLDING YOUR MAIL application form, in one of our local newspapers, retirement villages advertising “Peace of mind retirement living and care.”  “Peace of mind” is also written on two pages of the magazine called Familycare New Zealand. (Summer 2011)

“Peace of mind.”

And lately I read also about “Peace of mind” in a book written by C. H. Spurgeon. He talks about the sinning of Christians.  He says that transgression ( a breach of a law, etc.; sin or crime.)  does not only DESTROY PEACE OF MIND, but also “obscures fellowship with Jesus, hinders prayer , brings darkness over the soul.”
