“Make no little plans – they have no magic to stir men’s blood,” I am reading in the book “Loving all of it,” Edited by Gordon McLauchlan on page 117. Do I ever like that inscription.

It seems that I cannot get away from what it says in Jeremiah 29:11, where the Bible, the Word of the Living God, is speaking about the big plans, the Lord Jesus Christ made for us:

Jeremiah 29:11

“This is what the Lord says: ‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you  hope and a future.'”

Plans to prosper you.

Plans not to harm you.

Plans to give you  hope.

Plans to give you a future

That are the biggest plans I have ever heard about and I want to tell everybody about those plans.

That’s why I talked to the two Germans I spotted yesterday on Commerce Street here in Kaitaia. I gave them my name card, not to say my business card.

That’s why I wanted to talk to the owner of the big camper van with “Graham’s Way” written on the front and on the back of the big bus. The big vehicle was parked in front of the Warehouse, but no sign of the owner. That was the second time for me to see the bus. When I meet the owner of the bus, I want to tell him about the Big plans of the Lord Jesus Christ and what the Bible says in

John 14:6

“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'”

In a health publication (Family Health Diary, September/October 10) I find an article called “Putting the spring back into your life”. On page two of the same publication I read “…..putting a spring back in your step…”

Please read the two sentences again without the ‘back’. “Putting the spring into your life”. “…..putting a spring in your step”.

When you give flowers to someone, you  put a spring in someones  step. You bring joy into the life of that person.

I still remember the time, when the Lord Jesus Christ put a spring in  my step. That was many, many years ago. There is  peace! There is happiness. Do you know how many things are happening the moment a sinner accepts  Christ? The answer is 38!

There are things in relation to God the Father, in relation to God the Son, in relation to God the Holy Spirit, in relation to sin, in relation to satan and finally in relation to others.

Read also what the Lord Jesus Christ says in John 4:13,14 in His talk with a Smaritan Woman: “Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

The spring the Lord Jesus Christ put in my step brought me from Germany to the other end of the world to New Zealand – and what an adventure with the Lord in between.

I’m reading just now about a late-night talk show.

It was high rating,  until……until it was decided to talk about dying.

Why is ‘death’ a taboo topic?

I read about the “Passion at Oberammergau” in Germany in the paper not too many days ago.

But today a Kiwi couple told me, “We are just back from Oberammergau.”

Peter Atkins is writing in his article “Power and passion lift the spirit” in “travel” (August 24, 2010) how a village kept a promise made 367 years ago:

“The villagers of Oberammergau made a vow to God in 1643 to perform a play about the passion of Christ every ten years if they were spared the ravages of death through the plague. Their tiny village escaped and they have kept the promise  ever since.”
