“The Earth Shall Soon Dissolve Like Snow,……”

“The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,…” we were singing this morning in our church service. It is Sunday today!

It is part of the chorus of the song “Amazing Grace, My Chains Are Gone” which goes like this:

“The earth  shall soon dissolve like snow,

The sun forbear to shine;

But God, who call’d me here below,

Will be forever mine,….”

‘SNOW’ rhymes with ‘BELOW’, but is it biblical?

Second Peter 3:7 comes to my mind:

“By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.”

Please let me know!

Can someone point me to a verse in the Bible with the word ‘smile’? Not Laugh!

SMILE

You’re never fully dressed without a smile.” – Martin Charnin

“A smile can brighten the darkest day.” Author Unknown

“If you don’t have a smile, I’ll give you one of mine.” – Author Unknown

“Before you put on a frown, make absolutely sure there are no smiles available.” – Jim Beggs

“The world always looks brighter from behind a smile.” – Author Unknown

“People seldom notice  old clothes if you wear a big smile.” – Lee Mildon

“A smile confuses an approaching frown.” – Author Unknown

Relationships!

“Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.” – Lao Tzu

Think about our relationship again with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He loves us deeply; but what about us? Do we love Him deeply?

RESOLVE

“The best definition for ‘resolve’ I’ve ever heard came from a schoolgirl in Foster City, California.”

“A shy girl from the back of the room got up and said with quiet intensity, ‘I think resolve means promising yourself you will never give up’.” – Jim Rohn

What comes now to your mind?

The hymn “I HAVE DECIDED TO FOLLOW JESUS,….” comes to my mind. It has four verses and here is the first verse:

“I have decided to follow Jesus,

I have decided to follow Jesus,

I have decided to follow Jesus;

NO TURNING BACK, NO TURNING BACK.”

RESOLVE

“Nothing can resist a human will that will  stake even its existence on the extent of its purpose.” – Benjamin Disraeli

“When someone resolves to ‘do or die’ nothing can stop him” – Jim Rohn
