What a surprise it was and joy…..
What a surprise it was and joy today to see the newspaper in one of the restaurants and read “Everyone falls short of God’s perfect standard”.
My own copy of “The Northern Advocate” is now here before me with the above article written by Greg Bedwell, the pastor of the Kamo Baptist Church.

Your Future
This morning I picked up a copy of the “Coffee News”, where I read under the heading “On the Lighter Side” the following, “Be concerned about your future. You’ll spend the rest of your life there.”
You find advertisements in the “Coffee News” and just now I am looking at one ad that says “build a brighter future”. The ad is advertising the Kip McGrath Education Centres. You can go to one of the centres to improve your English, Spelling, Reading and Mathematics.
The Lord Jesus Christ is concerned about my future. He has the brightest future for me. How do I know that? He tells me so in His Word:
“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'” –
Jeremiah 29:11

Right and Evil
In my reading of the Bible, the Word of the Living God, I have arrived at the book called Second Chronicles. I am reading from cover to cover. There are 39 books in the Old Testament and 27 books in the New Testament. You have figured probably out by now that there are altogether 66 books.
Many kings are mentioned in Second Chronicles. Some of them did what was right and some of them did evil.
In Second Chronicles 21:6 we are reading about Jehoram. He is a king of Judah. In Second Chronicles 21:6 it says about him, “He did evil in the eyes of the Lord.”
Jotham is another king of Judah. In Second Chronicles 27:2 the Bible says about him, “He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord,……”
What about us? Are we doing evil in the eyes of the Lord or are we doing what is right in the eyes of the Lord?
