Have you heard that expression?

I heard this story:

A lady is really going through tough times at the moment. I don’t need to tell you the details. But it is a difficult time for her.

And listen to this. Friends are asking her, “Why are you still smiling? How come that you are carrying on as if nothing very much has happened? ” I am talking about christian friends. Her answer is, ” The Lord is sustaining me!” She has a wonderful testimony.

“You can’t win.” A wise person told her. “If you would be all miserable and sad and grumbling, people would say to you, ‘You are a christian, are you not? Where is your faith’ “?

You really can’t win.

I am reading in an insurance brochure the following: “Building a long term relationship comes from earning your trust and respect.”

I like that!

It is a joy to deal with business people who have a living relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Why? You respect them and you know you can trust them.

Do you know business people like that?

There are not very many around.

We need to preach the GOSPEL!

In a beautiful brochure insurance professionals are witing this: “We are dealing with people’s lives , their business , their futures. We must provide solutions that fit.”

I am praising the Lord Jesus Christ, that He is dealing with my life, my business, my future.

I am praising the Lord Jesus Christ, that He is providing solutions, the perfect solutions, for me. He has done so in the past. He is doing it now. He is going to do it in the future.

And not only for this life, but also for the life to come.

Praise his name!

“LORD, I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO, BUT MY EYES ARE UPON YOU!”

Five Jehoshaphats can be identified in the O.T. I am talking about the King of Judah. His father was Asa. The story of this Johoshaphat is found in Second Chronicles, chs. 17-20.

I like chapter twenty and let me quote a verse from this chapter 20: Second Chronicles 20:12. King Jehoshaphat says there: “We do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon you.”

Have you ever prayed to the Lord like Jehoshaphat prayed:

“Lord, I do not know what to do, but my eyes are upon you?”

I talked once about the Salvation Army with a lady from the Army and she mentioned three words, all starting with the letter ‘S’ – easy to remember – Soap, Soup and Salvation. (No more needs to be said about that!)

I remember the three words alright!

When entering the Salvation Army premises on the main street here in Kaitaia you are greeted like this:

— Transforming Lives

— Reforming Society
