“For I resolved to know
nothing while I was with
you except JESUS CHRIST
and him crucified.” – First Corinthians 2:2

Sermon Outline
Luke 11:27,28
“As Jesus was saying these things,
Intr.:
A. a woman in the crowd called out,
1. ‘Blessed is the mother
a. who gave you birth and
b. nursed you.’
B. He replied,
1. ‘Blessed are rather those
a. who hear the word of God and
b. obey it.'”
End:
“WHO DO YOU TRUST?”
That’s what it says in big letters on an old Reader’s Digest. And underneath in smaller print I read “New Zealand’s most trusted people 2007.” (Reader’s Digest, June 2007)
I like that question and I will answer it:
I belong to those people, who are trusting the Lord Jesus Christ! David, the David in the BIBLE, also trusted the Lord. In Psalm 55:23 he says: “BUT AS FOR ME, I TRUST THE LORD.”
WHY DO I TRUST THE LORD?
Here is my answer:
“This is what the LORD says:
‘Cursed is the one who trusts in man,
who depends on flesh for his strength and
whose heart turns away from the LORD.” – Jeremiah 17:5
( It is also a SERMON OUTLINE! )
“Then he said to them all:
Luke 9:23
Intr.:
‘If anyone would come after me,
1. he must deny himself and
2. take up his cross daily and
3. follow me.”
End:
“For I resolved
to know nothing
while I was with you
except JESUS CHRIST
and him
crucified.” – First Corinthians 2:2

“Mordecai
Esther 10:3
Intr.:
the Jew
1. was second in rank to King Xerxes,
2. preeminent among the Jews, and
3. held in high esteem by his many fellow Jews,
End:
because
he worked for the good of his people and
spoke up for the welfare of all the Jews.”
“‘YOURS,
First Chronicles 29:11
Intr.:
O LORD,
1. IS THE GREATNESS AND
2. THE POWER AND
3. THE GLORY AND
4. THE MAJESTY AND
5. THE SPLENDOR ,
End:
FOR EVERYTHING IN
HEAVEN AND
EARTH IS YOURS.'”
“Saul
First Chronicles 10:13,14
Intr.:
died
1. because he was unfaithful to the LORD;
2. he did not keep the word of the LORD and
3. even consulted a medium for guidance, and
4. did not inquire of the LORD.
End:
So the LORD put him to death and turned the kingdom over to David son of Jesse.”
Have you ever read the first nine chapters of 1 Chronicles in the BIBLE? I mean every word!
Have you ever read the BIBLE from cover to cover? I mean every word!
Not long ago I found a SERMON OUTLINE in 1 Chronicles:
SERMON OUTLINE
1 Chronicles 7:40
All these were descendants of Asher –
Intr.:
1. heads of families,
2. choice men,
3. brave warriors and
4. OUTSTANDING LEADERS.
End:
“‘Remember,
Second Kings 20:3
Intr.:
O LORD,
1. how I have walked before you
a. faithfully and with
b. wholehearted devotion and
2. have done what is good in your eyes.’
End:
And Hezekiah wept bitterly.”
