“God gave

First Kings 4:29-34

PART ONE

Intr.:

Solomon

1. wisdom and

2.  very great insight, and

3.  a breadth of  understanding as measureless as the sand on the seashore.

4.  Solomon’s wisdom was greater than the wisdom of all the men of the East, and

5.  greater than all the wisdom of Egypt.

6.  He was wiser than any other man,

a.  including Ethan the Ezrahite –

b.  wiser than Heman, Calcol and Darda, the sons of Mahol.

End:

And his fame spread to all the surrounding nations.

PART TWO

1.  He spoke three thousand proverbs and

2. his songs numbered  a thousand and five.

3.  He described plant life,

a.  from the cedar of Lebanon to

b.  the hyssop that grows out of the walls.

4.  He also taught about

a.  animals and

b. birds,

c.  reptiles and

d.  fish.

End:

Men of all nations came to listen to Solomon’s wisdom, sent by all the kings of the world, who had heard of his wisdom.”

“THEN HE TOLD ME,

Revelation 22:10,11

‘Do not seal up the words of this prophecy of this book, because the time is near.

1.  Let him who does wrong continue to do wrong;

2. let him who is vile continue to be vile;

3.  let him who does right continue to do right; and

4.  let him who is holy continue to be holy.'”

“Samuel told all the words of the LORD to the people who were asking him for a king.

First Samuel 8:10-18

Intr.:

He said, ‘This is what the king who will reign over you will do:

1.  He will take your sons and

a. make them serve with his chariots and horses, and they will run in front of his chariots.

b.  Some he will assign to be commanders of thousands and commanders of fifties, and

c.  others to plow his ground and reap his harvest, and still

d.  others to make weapons of war and equipment for his chariots.

2.  He will take your daughters to be

a. perfumers and

b. cooks and

c. bakers.

3.  He will take the best of your fields and vineyards and olive groves and give them to his attendants.

4.  He will take a tenth of your grain and of your vintage and give it to his officials and attendants.

5.  Your menservants and maidservants and the best of your cattle and donkeys he will take for his own use.

6.  He will take a tenth of your flocks, and you yourselves will become his slaves.

End:

When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen, and the LORD will not answer you in that day.”

5.  they have put them with their own possessions.
