Jesus Christ and him crucified.”

*******************************

HE SAID TO THEM,

Mark 16:15-18

Intr.: Notice in Mark 16:14 the Lord is rebuking the Eleven for their lack of faith, but he is still willing to use them.

1. “Go into all the world and

2. preach the Good News to all creation.

*******************

A. Whoever believes and is

baptized

will be saved,…….”

“AND THESE SIGNS WILL ACCOMPANY THOSE WHO BELIEVE:

In my name

1. they will drive out demons;

2. they will speak in new tongues;

3. they will pick up snakes with their hands; and

4. when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all;

5. they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”

B. “….but whoever does  not

believe

will be condemned.”

End: In Mark 16:19 it says: “After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven…”

His last words!

And in Mark 16:20 it says that the disciples were obedient. Praise the LORD!

Are we also obedient?

“TEACHER, WHICH IS THE GREATEST COMMANDMENT IN THE LAW?”

(Matthew 22:35-40)

Intr.:

One of them (a Pharisee), an expert in the law, tested him with this question:

“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?

Jesus replied:

A. ” ‘LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD

1. with all your heart and

2. with all your soul and

3. with all your mind.’

This is the first and

greatest commandment.

And the second is like it:

B. ‘LOVE YOU NEIGHBOUR AS YOURSELF.’

End:

All the law and the

Prophets

hang on these two commandments.”

THE CHARGE AGAINST ISRAEL

Hosea 4:1-3

Intr.: This charge was probably made in 722 B. C. 2731 years ago! Has anything changed?

Hear the word of the Lord,

you Israelites,

because the Lord has a charge to bring against you who live in the land:

A. THERE IS NO:

1. faithfulness, no

2. love, no

3. acknowledgment of God in the land.

B. THERE IS ONLY:

1. cursing,

2. lying and

3. murder,

4. stealing and

5. adultery;

6. they break all bounds, and

7. bloodshed follows bloodshed.

End:

Because of this

1. the land mourns,

2. and all who live in it waste away;

3. the beasts of the field and

4. the birds of the air and

5. the fish of the sea are dying.
