A long time ago I was given a Busabout Kaitaia concession ticket worth $45.00. Or should I rather say I won it because I answered half a question?
On that ticket are five return journeys from Kaitaia to Pukenui or from Kaitaia to Mangonui.
Today I went to Mangonui.
Back of the Busabout Kaitaia bus.
Mangonui
Mangonui in New Zealand. There are more pictures of the East Coast on the blog.
In Mangonui I was surprised to find the following headlines:
I was present at the parade and busy taking pictures and did not see any rioting.
In Mangonui you can see Pohutukawa trees. The tree produces red flowers in the summer. That is about now. The Pohutukawa tree is also called Christmas tree.
“You need not fret concerning the weakness of the church of God at any moment; there may be growing up in obscurity the valiant reformer who will shake the nations: Chrysostoms may come forth from our Ragged Schools, and Augustines from the thickest darkness of London’s poverty. The Lord knows where to find his servants.” – C. H. Spurgeon
“Nothing can happen to you but what He allows, I do not care what it may be, some great disappointment, perhaps, or it may be an illness, it may be a tragedy of some sort…but you can be certain of this, that God permits that thing to happen to you because it is ultimately for your good.” – Martyn Lloyd-Jones
How many students are enrolled at your school? How many of those children come from nuclear families? How many of those children come from step – families?
Those three questions for a headmaster of a school have been on my mind for a long time, but so far I have not asked them.
“Demographers here say that step – families will outnumber nuclear families by 2020. And I’m not surprised. Our attitudes to marriage have changed so much – we see marriage now as a disposable thing. And separation and divorce are more acceptable these days.”
I am reading that in the magazine called GRAPEVINE, Issue 4, 2011. (page 41)
That is actually a good enough answer to my three questions at the beginning.
The book THE GREATEST WORDS EVER SPOKEN by Steven K. Scott is one of the books on my bookshelf. Under the heading MARRIAGE, DIVORCE, AND REMARRIAGE I find everything what the Lord Jesus Christ said on that subject. As you can see it is a very useful book. I received it as a GIVEAWAY.
Please read what the Lord Jesus Christ said on the subject Marriage, Divorce, and Remarriage: Matthew 5:31-32; Matthew 10:34-37; Matthew 19:3-6; Matthew 19:8-12; Mark 10:2-12; Mark 12:24-27; Luke 14:25-27; Luke 16:18; Luke 18:29-30; Luke 20:34-38.
We have drifted and we are drifting more and more away from the standard of the BIBLE to our own peril.
“This is what holy living means – the dedication of as much as I possess, to as much as I know of the will of God for me.” – Frederick Coutts (Essentials of Christian Experience)
