ARE WE POISONING OURSELVES?

I think we do! WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Sometimes we are suffering terrible pain. Sometimes we are suffering terrible WORRY. That’s when our system becomes toxic. That’s when our system becomes poisoned.

The doctor tells us that — and the BIBLE told us that long ago!

The Bible says, “DO NOT BE ANXIOUS ABOUT ANYTHING, BUT IN EVERYTHING

1. BY PRAYER AND

2. PETITION WITH

3. THANKSGIVING

PRESENT YOUR REQUESTS TO GOD.

BUT HOW DO WE STOP WORRYING?

ESSENTIAL – ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY

Quite a number of pages in a health magazine are devoted to healthy weight. Healthy weight seems to be on peoples minds. And it should be. There are many big people around.

It says there “EFA’s essential for shifting those unwanted kilos.” EFA’s are healthy fats, good healthy fats. They are found in certain foods, namely fish, nuts, cold – pressed vegetable oils and seeds.

On two pages in the same magazine are “year round essentials” advertised like nature’s multivitamin bee pollen, reflux free omega 3, joint support, essential oils and more.

Essentials for the body? According to business people, yes! Of course, it brings in money. And of course we must take care of our bodies.

But what about our souls? Our souls should be more on our minds than our bodies. Our Lord says, “What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul?” (Matthew 16:26) We also have to take care of our souls. What are the essentials for the soul?

The other day I read what CH Spurgeon says about a Christian necessity. He is talking about the TRUTH OF GOD entering into a human heart. (Second John 2:2) He says in the book “Morning and Evening” this: ” We don’t entertain it as a guest but as the master of the house – this is a CHRISTIAN NECESSITY; ….” (Oct. 25, morning)

Is the truth master of the house?

“BEFORE I DIE”

I picked up a kid’s books catalogue – Christmas 2008 – and was really surprised to find a book with the title “Before I die” in the section for young adults – age 12+.

To start with, should we not avoid talking about death? Should we not especially avoid talking about death to our young people? Who wants to die? We want to live, don’t we?

The book “Before I die” is written by Jenny Downham and is a novel about a young girl who has only a few months to live. Her name is Tessa and she is compiling a list of ten things she wants to do before she dies. The read (a new name for book) is quite expensive, about $25!

I am actually dying to know the ten things on the list Tessa has compiled. In case somebody is getting hold of the book please let me know the ten things.

I am actually doing the things I want to do before I die right now. We all have to die one of these days, don’t we?
