“ALL WE HAVE IS NOW!”

“Now!” (I added the exclamation mark.)

“All we have is now,” says the sign in Commerce Street here in Kaitaia, in the Far North of New Zealand.

The Bible says in Second Corinthians 6:2:

“I tell you,” says the Apostle Paul, “now is the time of God’s favour, now is the day of salvation.”

Have you accepted God’s gift of eternal life? (Romans 6:23)

There is only one thing to do now, and that is to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and to praise him.

“a burden shared is a burden halved”

“a burden shared is a burden halved”, “a burden shared is a burden halved quote”, “a burden shared”, “a burden shared quote”,  “proverb on burden”. That are search terms people type into Google.

I find that especially “a burden shared is a burden halved” is at the top.

Lots of camper vans are coming through Kaitaia here in the north of New Zealand and I like to read what is written on them. “Sorted” was written on the one I saw today.

I also remember one camper van I saw in Auckland. “Still Restless” was written on the front and on the back.  A motorbike was tied to the back of the camper van also carrying the message: “STILL RESTLESS”

Not long after I became a true follower of the Lord Jesus Christ the Lord led me to a little congregation.  (In Bottrop/Germany)

Above the entrance door was written:

“COME TO ME,

ALL YOU WHO ARE WEARY AND BURDENED,

AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST.”

Matthew 11:28

“Life is like …”

“Life is like a coin. You can spend it anyway you like. But you can only spend it once.”

What a message!

When I read that today in one of the shop windows here in Kaitaia, in the north of New Zealand , I asked myself, “HOW DO I SPEND MY LIFE?”

(I think I have asked myself that question already several times in my life.)

I am looking into the past. How did I spend my life in the past?

I am looking at the present. How do I spend my life just now?

I am looking into the future and asking myself, “How am I going to spend my life in the future?”

P1230184LIFE IN THE PAST.

Once I was darkness. But now I am light. Thanks to the grace of God I started to live as a child of light at an early age. My life with the Lord Jesus Christ started in my teens. (Ephesians 5:8)

After attending a Bible school in Germany I worked in Thailand as a missionary (WEC INTERNATIONAL) for thirteen years. After doing more studies at the Bible College of New Zealand, as it was called at that time, I worked in Kaitaia and Kaikohe in New Zealand as a missionary.

AT THE PRESENT.

I am now retired and it is my desire to reach people with the Gospel through PERSONAL EVANGELISM. I am especially keen to get in touch with Germans, who come through Kaitaia. And there are a good number who are coming through. Tourists are keen to visit Cape Reinga, the top of this beautiful country.

IN THE FUTURE.

I have only one life and I want to spend it in the service of the Lord and I am waiting for his Second Coming.

C. T. Studd, the founder of WEC INTERNATIONAL, said, “ONLY ONE LIFE, ‘TWILL SOON BE PAST; ONLY WHAT’S DONE FOR CHRIST WILL LAST.”

Have you ever asked yourself the question, “How do I spend my life?”

Sermon Outline – NIV – OT

“THEN THE LORD SAID TO SATAN, ‘HAVE YOU CONSIDERED MY SERVANT JOB?

(Job 2:3)

Introduction:

There is no one on earth like him;

  • HE IS BLAMELESS and
  • UPRIGHT,
  • A MAN WHO FEARS GOD and
  • SHUNS EVIL.

End:

And he still maintains his integrity, though you incited me against him, to ruin him without any reason.'”
