ATTITUDE IS A LITTLE THING THAT MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE.
Because of jealousy we have the tendency to cut down those who are seen as more successful. (There are many ways of doing that of course!)
We may start to feel threatened by them.
We have a wrong attitude, if we resent those, who go for the best. We must change our attitude!
Only a small thing? (Not for me!)
It is a beautiful day and I am looking through the window panes of the ranchslider door. I can see two palm trees, not too big and not too small. They were actually here when we bought the place.
Many years ago– at another place– I had the desire to plant some palm trres. I thought, that would be really something. But I never did. All of a sudden Psalm 37:4 came to my mind again: Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. And I have always said, that the Lord is giving us more than we ask for. He is good.
Look at the two beautiful palm trees in front of our house. Praise the Lord!
PS: That is one of the trees!
During our time in Kaikohe we had the visit from a missionary who had been in Africa (Congo) for 40 years. There was also revival while he was there! He prayed , before he left. But before he prayed he read from the book of REVELATION. Revelation 12:11! Click on the verse and read! I think I will always remember that occasion. He is now with the Lord!
He parked his car in front of the court house in Kaikohe, got out of the car and while we were both crossing the street, I called after him,” Sir, are you a Christian?” His answer was in the affirmative. I inquired further,”How do I know, that you are a Christian? Have a guess!” He replied,” I don’t know off hand.” I saw in his face that he was bit at a loss for an answer.
As this man was a complete stranger to me, I did not want to keep him in suspense unnecessarily and said to him,” I know, because you have an ALPHA sticker on the back of your car.”
Most of you, I am sure, are familiar with the ALPHA Course run by Churches. One man I knew ran an Alpha-Course and people came to the Lord !
But back to the man in front of the court house. As we went along the foot path a bright smile came to his face. He was a middle- aged man. A very pleasant man indeed. He was from out of town (Kerikeri). I suspected already, that he was not from Kaikohe.
Further I asked him, “Are you really born again?” “Yes,” was his quick reply. I gave him a clap on his right shoulder and said,” Praise the Lord!” We both kept on walking and smiling and then parted company. I think he had business at the court house and I went along on my way to the Ware House in Kaikohe.

It was a notice in the paper under the heading ‘Healing’ and it said, “Do you feel stuck? I can help you with clarity and direction.” And it goes on: “Psychic Channel, Natural Healing.”
We are all stuck. David in the Bible was also stuck. We read about it in Psalm 32:1-5. We are stuck in our sins. Stuck in our troubles. Please read those verses several times and compare with First John 1:9. Read also Hebrews 12:1. Are you entangled by sins? Are you stuck in your troubles? David was, because he says in Psalm 34:6,17: The Lord saves me! The Lord delivers me! — Psalm 107:6,13,19,28.
We surely need help with clarity and direction. The Bible makes it very clear, that we are sinners and we know it. The Bible gives us direction, how to get out of our sins and our troubles. The Bible gives us also direction not only for this life, but also for the life to come. Come to the Lord! Only He can make you ‘unstuck.’ He loves you.

1. The flyer has been read by several of my friends and corrected by the editor of “THE CHRISTIAN WRITER.” (Magazine of the Christian Writers Guild NZ)
2. The master copy is going today (28.03.08) to the local photocopy-service where I managed to get a special deal for 1000 leaflets. The flyers will be folded there as well.
