I started to live (really) when I was almost nineteen years of age. And since then I have LIVED EVERY MOMENT!
On the 2nd of September 1958 I passed from death to life. First John 3:14 “We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers.” On that day I came to the Lord Jesus Christ. John 5:40 “yet you refuse to come to me to have life.” Read also Jeremiah 29:13! “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
In the evening of the 2nd of September 1958 the Lord Jesus Christ became the ruler of my life. Luke 19:14 “‘We don’t want this man to be our KING.'” That meant I was no longer sitting on my own little throne.
On the 2nd of September 58 I began to LIVE EVERY MOMENT! Remember, before that day I was dead, but now I was alive.
All of a sudden the Bible became alive. The Bible was no longer like any other book I possessed. From that time on I began to grow spiritually and I am still growing.
One thing I knew from the very beginning when I became a true follower of the Lord Jesus Christ: I knew, that I had eternal life. Why? Because I read in the Bible in First John 5:13 “I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may KNOW that you have eternal life.”
If you don’t know that you have eternal life, your spiritual life is very fickle!!
I am looking back on a wonderful journey with the Lord Jesus Christ and the journey is going on until I see the LORD JESUS CHRIST face to face
