DIGITAL TELEVISION!

Two quotes in one of our local papers, NORTHERN NEWS, JULY 20, 2011, are having my full attention.

The Grey Power national president says:

“‘ I’ts amazing how many people are reliant on the television for company. A lot of older people in particular don’t go out very much and will watch all day.'”

The other quote is by a member of Grey Power:

“‘A lot of people get very lonely.'”

The quotes are taken from the article called “Elderly may get help with digital TV.”

I have never been a friend of TV. I rather read a book. That’s why we don’t have TV in our home.

One of the books I really like to read is the Bible. I am reliant on the Bible for company and not the television. The Bible, the Word of the Living God, is my companion. The Bible is my handbook. The Bible is my guidebook.

In the Bible I am reading about the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord Jesus Christ says in the Bible:

“And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”  Matthew 28:20

I believe that and that’s why I don’t get very lonely!

WHAT A PLAN!

NEW MEMORIES

was written on the campervan I saw today on Commerce  Street in KAITAIA and as you can see on the image it is raining!

WHO IS CARING FOR ME? WHO IS CARING FOR YOU?

Who is caring for me? Who is caring for you?

Good questions? I think so.

I can tell you. I have it here black on white. The medicine I received from the pharmacy was in a small paper bag. On the bag is written:

“Your Pharmacy Caring for you!”

I have the bag here in front of me.

Who else is caring for me? I have also the Bible, the Word of the Living God here in front of me. In the Bible I read in the New Testament in the first book Peter wrote:

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” – First Peter 5:7

What a promise of the Living God. Let me repeat the promise:

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” – First Peter 5:7

We must throw. We must learn to throw. I think I am still learning to throw.

We must learn to throw all our anxieties on the Lord.

And I certainly don’t need to tell you what anxieties are!
