SAINTS

P1230436

In The Collins Concise Dictionary I am reading:

that SANTA CLAUS (Santa) is also called Father Christmas,

that SANTA CLAUS is “the legendary patron saint of Children, commonly indentified with Saint Nicholas, …”

P1230442

In the BIBLE we are also reading about Saints.

The Bible says that I am a saint. You probably find that hard to believe, but it is the truth. I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and that makes me a saint.

“To all in Rome who are loved by God and called to be saints.” (Romans 1:7) Please remember that the letters in the New Testament were written to true followers of the Lord Jesus Christ.

“Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.” (First Corinthians 16:1, King James Version)

You are also a saint, if you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ!

Quote

IMG 0228“God keeps moving along in our lives, bringing us through various situations – sanding and sifting and pruning just to make us like his Son. We may complain and groan and moan and tell him we want different, but tn truth is, we don’t ever want him to stop. We want it just the way he wants it.” – Charles F. Stanley

“Life is not an easy matter …”

What do you have before you?

Leon Trotsky says this:

“Life is not an easy matter … you cannot live through it without falling into frustrations and cynicism unless you have before you a great idea which raises you above personal misery, above weakness, above all kinds of perfidy and baseness.”

The Bible says:

“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, …”

The Lord Jesus Christ is not only the originator of our faith. He is also the perfecter of our faith.

The Bible says also:

“Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, …”

Why are we admonished to consider the Lord Jesus Christ? It keeps us first of all from growing weary. Secondly it keeps us from losing heart.

I have the Lord Jesus Christ before me.

I want to fix my eyes more on him and I want to consider him more. Reading the Bible, especially Hebrews chapter twelve will help me to do so.
