A Milestone in my Life

In one of our papers here in the north of New Zealand, the NORTHERN NEWS, July 10, 2013, I find the Milestones feature.

Contributions (Pictures) are welcome. It is all about “Celebrating our People”. “Just got married, had a baby, graduated or celebrated you golden anniversary,” are milestones, I am reading there also.

Post 5,000 on this blog was a Milestone for me not long ago:

The post with picture is called “THE FEBR-JUL 2013 Constitution Conversation”.

“Prayer is …”

“Prayer is the main secret of success in spiritual business.

It moves Him who can move heaven and earth.

It brings down the promised aid of the Holy Spirit,

without whom the finest sermons,

the clearest teaching,

and the most diligent labors,

are all in vain.

It is not always those who have the most eminent gifts who are most successful laborers for God.

It is generally those who keep up closest communion with Christ and are most constant in prayer.” – J. C. Ryle

No Ordinary STORE

Because the store is not an ordinary store, you need a special key for it.

It is a rich store. It is a store full of treasure.

You can read about the store in the Bible in the Old Testament. The prophet Isaiah is talking about the store in his prophecy.

THE KEY

THE KEY

The first treasure in the store is SALVATION.

“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” – Acts 4:12

The second treasure in the store is WISDOM.

“It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us WISDOM from God –

that is, our righteousnessholiness and redemption.” – First Corinthians 1:30. Read also Colossians 2:3

The third treasure in the store is KNOWLEDGE.

“in whom are hidden all the treasures of WISDOM and knowledge.” – Colossians 2:3

And what is the key to the store? The key to the store is “THE FEAR OF THE LORD.”

“…, a rich store of SALVATION and WISDOM and KNOWLEDGE; the fear of the LORD is the key to this treasure.” – Isaiah 33:6 (NIV)

LIFE TUBES

LIFE TUBE Age Concern

LIFE TUBE Age Concern

The Life Tube is kept inside the refrigerator (a refrigerator has a good chance of surviving earthquakes or floods) for Emergency Personnel.

Personal Information (Medical conditions, medications, doctor, next of kin and contact numbers) is in the Life Tube in case you get ill or you have an accident and cannot speak.

Emergency Services are trained to look inside the fridge for the Life Tube!

How do you make Peace with your Past?

“Make Peace with your Past

So it doesn’t spoil your Present.”

I am reading that in the local Age Concern newsletter. (July 2013)

How do we make Peace with our Past?

THE CROSS

THE CROSS

“For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him [Jesus], and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making Peace through his blood, shed on the cross.” – Colossians 1:19,20
