The little Devotional

OUR DAILY BREAD

OUR DAILY BREAD

Not long ago I picked up a little book in a church here in Kaitaia.

It is a devotional written by several authors. Once you start reading, it is difficult to put the book down.

I should actually order a good number for distribution.

“… it is between you and God.”

If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motIves. Be kind anyway.

If you are honest, people may cheat you. Be honest anyway.

If you find happiness, people may be jealous. Be happy anyway.

The good you do may be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway.

For you see, in the end, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.” – Mother Teresa

“my mother always told me…”

“my mother always told me…

Friendship isn’t about who you’ve known the longest. It’s about who came and never left.

Kay Brydon, via email”

(that’s life! magazine, Issue 17 May 6, 2013)

There are many people wordwide who know about this FRIENDSHIP.

One of them who knew about this friendship was Rufus H. McDaniel, who lived from 1850-1940.  He is the author of the hymn: “What a wonderful change in my life there has been, …” The refrain of the hymn begins like this: “Since Jesus came into my heart, Since Jesus came into my heart, …”

Once the Lord Jesus Christ comes into our heart, he never leaves. And here is his promise:

“‘NEVER WILL I LEAVE YOU; NEVER WILL I FORSAKE YOU.'” – Hebrews 13:5
