COMPACT CHARGER

That respite care will allow her to recharge her batteries, says the wife, who supports her husband, who has Parkinson’s disease.

We must allow ourselves to recharge our batteries. (I have just recharged the laptop I am working on now!) How do we do that as followers of the Lord Jesus Christ?

Let me just mention two things, that are of uttermost importance, namely Reading the Bible and Prayer.

Not long ago I finished reading the book GROWING IN GRACE by Bob George in German.

In his chapter Food to Grow he mentions first private studying of the Bible and second Prayer.

At the local Salvation Army Centre  here in Kaitaia I picked up “STEPS TO PEACE WITH GOD” by Billy Graham and on the last page of the little booklet he says that in order to deepen our relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ we must do several things, but he mentions first of all reading the Bible every day and secondly talking to God in prayer during every day. He says also that reading the Word of God regularly helps us to know the Lord Jesus Christ better.

What respite care (Regular Breaks) is for people who look after people who require permanent care is Reading the Scriptures and Prayer for the people who follow the Lord Jesus Christ.
