“MY MOTHER ALWAYS TOLD ME …” Posted on February 15, 2014 by Werner Dekarski “My mother always told me …,” I am reading in the magazine called “that’s life!” (August 19, 2013). And in that issue a reader from Australia says, “My mother always told … We never know the worth of water until the well is dry.” One trait that is despised is ingratitude. THE WELL And don’t we all know that we could be more thankful? We receive good things from the Lord and from other people. We must practice seeing that. How can we do that? I have learned that it is a great help to write down all the good things, one by one. But not only that. We must realize the good things in our hearts and sing a hymn to the Lord and most of all we must say a prayer of thanksgiving to the Lord. This is how my list starts: 1. RUNNING WATER. 2. 3. What is the first thing you are writing down on your list?
