When I was still self-employed some years ago and interested in the tax laws of our country, I was told about someone who “eats, sleeps and breathes” tax.

That came to my mind when I read the following on a coffee plunger box:

“At Gravity we eat, sleep and breathe coffee. It’s fair to say it’s our reason for being.”

THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO DO NOT BELIEVE THAT THE BIBLE CONTAINS THE WORD OF GOD, BUT THAT THE BIBLE IS THE WORD OF GOD.

They believe that the author of the Bible is the Holy Spirit.

Second Timothy 3:16 and Second Peter 1:21. That are two verses we ought to memorize!

They know that the cardinal theme of the Bible is the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord Jesus Christ is also the key to understanding the Word of God.

I belong to those people.

But can it be said about those people that they “eat, sleep and breathe” THE BOOK OF BOOKS, the BIBLE? Can those people say, “It’s fair to say it’s our reason for being?”
