FROM THE BOOK:

A major in the British Army had a crumpled piece of paper in his pocket.

I don’t think he believed in the promise of the Lord in James 4:2, where it says:

“YOU DO NOT HAVE, BECAUSE YOU DO NOT ASK GOD.”

The crumpled paper in his pocket was a telegram from the War Office and it said that the whole nation is praying for the army. He rather wanted something else.
