“Enduring Power of Attorney”

“Life can be fragile – as an attorney you are trusted to protect someone’s future, if they can’t decide for themselves,” I am reading on the leaflet called “Enduring Power of Attorney” I picked up today at our local library.

When I read that the following portion from the Bible came to my  mind:

“Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say ‘I find no pleasure in them’ – before the sun and the light and the moon and the stars grow dark, …”

The portion of Scriptures is from the book called Ecclesiastes. Please read the whole of chapter twelve of the book.

If we live long enough I think there comes the time for all of us when we cannot decide for ourselves!

I am still working my way through the book ROMANS by D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones and I am being blessed. It is an exposition of chapter 1. The Gospel of God.

The book has almost 400 pages and I am on page 188.

Speed Cameras

Fifty

Fifty

Speed Cameras may be operating on this road.

There are drivers who are careful to obey the rules on the road, and they are watching especially that they do not exceed the speed limit.

And there are drivers who are not so careful to obey the road rules.

The fact that there may be speed cameras operating on the road does not bother the drivers who are careful to obey the rules on the road.

Spurgeon on DEATH:

“I trust we do not, by often hearing of death, become callous to it.” – C. H. Spurgeon

“May we regard death as he most weighty of all events, and be sobered by its approach.” – C. H. Spurgeon
