The Cup of Coffee

My cup of Coffee

My cup of Coffee

Ordering a cup of coffee this morning in Pukenui north of Kaitaia, reminded me of a Reader’s Digest article I read many years ago. The article was about protesting and complaining and getting results.

When my trim Flat White for $ 4.50 arrived in a paper cup I said politely that I was actually a bit disappointed and that I expected the coffee in a “proper” cup. Straight away I was told that a new cup of coffee would be made for me.

I really cannot remember a thing about the Reader’s Digest article and I don’t even remember the title properly, but how surprised I was when my new cup of coffee arrived on a special saucer lined with a serviette and sugar and on the spoon was even a fancy marshmallow.

Exposition of Paul’s letter to the ROMANS

I am still reading ROMANS, Exposition of Chapter 7:1 – 8:4 by D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones. While reading the exposition First Corinthians 12:28 comes to my mind, where it says:

“And in the church God has appointed

first of all apostles,

second prophets,

third teachers, …”

I am looking forward to reading the next two books on ROMANS:

Exposition of Chapter 8:5-17 and exposition of Chapter 8:17-39

(THE SONS OF GOD / THE FINAL PERSEVERANCE OF THE SAINTS)
