Pukenui Today

I am a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, and when I arrived today at the bus stop here in Kaitaia – Beachcomber – to go to Pukenui, there was already someone waiting to jump on the bus as well.

Looking at his fishing gear he did not need to tell me that he intended to catch fish from the wharf at Pukenui. When we got talking I told him that I was a fisher of men. But the conversation did not stop there of course.

Pukenui Today

In Pukenui, where there is a rest area, was someone selling coffee. Entering into a conversation with the coffee seller and buying a cup of coffee, I settled down to enjoy my drink in one of the chairs provided.

When I told my new found friend that I am a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, he showed me the Bible someone had given him and which he is also reading.

Here in New Zealand we must never assume that we are the first ones to talk to people about spiritual things. (There are true followers of the Lord, Jehovah’s Witnesses and more!)
