“Unlocked cars contribute to the growing crime rate!” and “Always lock your car securely and keep valuables out of sight,” are the warnings you can see when entering a rest area here in New Zealand.

But there are people who do not touch unlocked cars and the valuables of other people. Who are they? Do you belong to them?

A Well

In the Bible we are reading about a well called Beer Lahai Roi and we are told about the story of the well.

BEER LAHAI ROI means  WELL OF THE LIVING ONE WHO SEES ME.

At this well the LORD spoke to Hagar and she gave Him the name “‘You are the God who sees me.'” She said also, “‘I have now seen the One who sees me.'” (You find the story in the first book of the Bible, in Genesis 16:13)

Hagar said, “‘You are the God who sees me.'” The people who do not touch unlocked cars and the valuables of other people say also: YOU GOD SEES ME!

No fear of God is the great contributor to the growing crime rate.

There is one book in the Bible I have always loved, and that is the book called Ecclesiastes. Almost at the end of the book it says:

“NOW ALL HAS BEEN HEARD; HERE IS THE CONCLUSION OF THE MATTER: FEAR GOD AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS, FOR THIS IS THE WHOLE DUTY OF MAN.”  (Ecclesiastes 12:13)
