FOOD

We know about food for our body, but what about the food for our spirit?

What I am reading on an empty flattened Arnott’s Cruscits  packet, I picked up from our kitchen floor, encourages me to think about our spiritual food. The reason is, I am sure, that I am more interested in spiritual food than in physical food. (Cruskits: You can eat “cruskits” like bread with something on them.)

” … EXPLORE THE POSSIBILITIES,” it says there; that means, and I don’t think I am wrong, the possibilities with cruskits.

It continues with “DISCOVER THE PERFECT LUNCH”. Three lunch possibilities are on that side of the packet with images.

I am encouraged to think to explore the possibilities with the Bible. In the Bible we are finding the Lessons about God. The Bible says that everything is possible with God. You find that in Luke 1:37 and Luke 18:27.

The power of God is infinite. Psalm 115:3 teaches us:

“OUR GOD IS IN HEAVEN; HE DOES WHAT PLEASES HIM.” Read also Psalm 135:6.

In the Bible we also “discover the perfect lunch”; that is the perfect spiritual food. Here are some of the promises I have discovered and memorized: (It surely is good to memorize the promises.)

First John 1:9; First Corinthians 3:11; Second Corinthians 3:17; James 4:2:

“YOU DO NOT HAVE, BECAUSE YOU DO NOT ASK GOD.”

In Matthew 4:4 the Lord Jesus Christ says, “It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”
