“You don’t choose your family. They are God’s gift to you, as you are to them.” – Desmond Tutu
At the present time I am reading again that certain things are not enough.
“Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough; we must do,” says the German poet JW von Goethe, who lived from 1749-1832.
Long ago I read in the Bible that hearing is not enough; we must practice. The Lord Jesus Christ says that in the gospel of Matthew. In Matthew 7:24-27 we find the story about two builders, the Wise builder and the Foolish builder.
Hear what the Bible says: The Bible says, “Follow the way of love …” What is love? Hear again what the Bible says: “Love is patient, love is kind …” What is patience? “Patience: The ability to count down before blasting off!” A Church sign said some time ago: “Lord, give us patience, but hurry!” And only today I read the following: “KINDNESS MAKES YOU THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PERSON, NO MATTER WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE.”
We have learned quite a bit about the things that are not enough, therefore, let us apply, let us practice, let us do. Only today I read in a Hunting & Fishing catalogue at least twice “OUT THERE DOING IT.”
“DON’T WAIT FOR EVERYTHING TO BE PERFECT BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO ENJOY YOUR LIFE.” – Seen today
“… a great multitude in heaven shouting:
Revelation 19:1
Intr.
‘Hallelujah!
A. Salvation and
B. glory and
C. power
End:
belong to our God.'”
Finished reading the Bible from cover to cover yesterday (12. 12. 2016).
Started at the beginning of this year (01. 01. 2016)
And I read every word!
