A. Incommunicable Attributes
1. The selfexistence of God — Exodus 3:13,14,15
God is the first cause of everything but he himself is uncaused.
God is the only independent being in the universe.
Men are dependent beings. Someone said: ‘ We are the echo of an original voice.’
We are willing to share ourselves, to sacrifice ourselves , but we are not willing to dethrone ourselves.
Acts 2:36,37
All of a sudden they realized that they were dependent beings!
‘Spirit of Independence’ I saw written today on a Mercedes Maui rental car. I would have liked to take a picture, but my digital camera was at home.—We are not even sure of our next breath!
2. The unchangeability of God– Malachi 3:6; Hebrews 1:10,11,12
The promises of God are unchangeable. Most of us know some promises off by heart.

Keep on walking……and dreaming……………?
It was in Whangaparaoa at the Plaza, at the Pacific Plaza. I love that place. What was Woolworth once upon a time is now Foodtown. In the bakery I discovered German Black Forest cake. I love that cake, bought a piece and was going to eat it straight away after paying of course. But I did not have a fork to eat it with. I mentioned that to the lady who sold me the cake. She said,” Forks are for sale over there!” “Yes,” I said,” I know, but then I have to buy a whole packet and I need only one.” ” I get you one,” she said without hesitation.
I walked out of foodtown fully occupied with thinking about her kindness and dreaming about it but at the same time groping for the $ 5,00 note in my back pocket for payment. I had left the shop already ( must have been ten steps passed the checkout) when I remembered that I had forgotten to pay.
Back I went to the checkout and laughingly I told about my mishap and said,” I could have kept on walking without paying. But I would have had a sleepless night because of my bad conscience. You must loose a lot of stuff.” They agreed. “But we are doing our best watching for thieves”, was the reply. They thanked me for coming back. I finsihed off by saying,” We all need more of the Fear of the Lord!” Ecclesiastes 12:13

“The Glass People”
It was not the first time that I walked on the road to the Glass People. But this time it came to me that we are “The Jesus People”.
The Glass people know all about glass. Do we know all there is to know about the Lord Jesus Christ?
Are we known at all in town as “The Jesus People”?
We can know more about the Lord by studying the Bible. Second Timothy 2:15

Do we have time for others?
At the end of an Email I received a couple of days ago it said:
The work phone number was given.
The fax number was given.
The home phone number was given.
But then it said: Anytime: and the mobile phone number was given.
The last one means also in the middle of the night and I am still thinking about a commitment like that!

At the end of the day
“At the end of the day”…………..This is a phrase I have heard quite frequently. You have probably heard it too. “At the end of the day”……….What? Or better still: At the end of your life……..What? That phrase came back to me with force today. I had been thinking of course about the end of the day and the end of my own life.
A question: Is your life ending up in a hopeless end or in an endless hope? It does not need to end up in a hopelss end. It can end up in a HOPE without END!
For all those who are believers in the Lord Jesus Christ do have an endless hope. What is hope? Hope is desire with expectancy.
Believers in the Lord Jesus Christ have confessed their sins. They have come out of darkness into light. They know that they have eternal life. ( First John 5:13 ) The Lord is their Saviour and not their Judge.
At the end of the’ DAY’ they are going to meet up with the Lord Jesus Christ. What a glorious Day that will be.
The desire of believers in Jesus will then be fulfilled and what they expected will have come true. Halleluiah!
Romans 12:12 “Be joyful in HOPE, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
