I am adjusting to my new Shaver

I am adjusting to my new shaver (REMINGTON, Titanium Pivot & Flex, F4790).

“USE & CARE INSTRUCTION MANUAL” , I am reading on the first page of the manual. And underneath it says “Please read prior to use”.

“Before using , read the important safety instructions in this manual.” I am reading that on page four of the manual.

But that is not all. “Before charging, study instruction manual”, it says on the Power adaptor.

I am impressed!

“Please read prior to us.” “Before using,…” “Before charging,..” And it does not only say “read”, but “study”.

Just as I do not ignore the instruction manual for my shaver,  I do not ignore the instruction manual for my life.

The Bible is the instruction manual for my life. The BIBLE is our manual of our knowledge of God. The Bible is our manual of divine truth. The BIBLE is our manual to everlasting life.

I am reading the manual, I am studying the manual.

But how many people do? How many parents are true followers of the Lord Jesus Christ?  (How do we get this generation back to God?) How many parents are impressing the commandments of the BIBLE on their children?

What does the BIBLE say about the commandments?

“Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.”

Deuteronomy 6:7-9

ENVY

ENVY!

“Envious people cannot bear to see their neighbors – especially their equals or those they live with –  get something more or better than themselves.” – Basilea Schlink

“And I saw that all labor and all achievement spring from man’s envy of his neighbor. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.” –

Ecclesiastes 4:4

“DOES FOOD CONTROL YOUR LIFE?”

“DOES FOOD CONTROL YOUR LIFE?”

The BIBLE teaches that “man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD.”

Deuteronomy 8:3 and Matthew 4:4

FOOD FOR THE BODY

I don’t need to say anything about the food for the body. Please watch TV! But you are doing that already. (We don’t have TV!)

FOOD FOR THE SOUL

The BIBLE is food for our souls.

Job 23:12  “…..; I have treasured the words of  his mouth  more than my daily bread.”

First Peter 2:2

Psalm 119:103 “How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than  honey to my mouth!”

Jeremiah 15:16 “When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my  heart’s delight, ……”

Ezekiel 2:8

Ezekiel 3:1

YES, FOOD CONTROLS MY LIFE, BUT IT IS NOT THE FOOD FOR THE BODY, BUT THE FOOD FOR THE SOUL!

FORGET THE PAST

FORGET THE PAST

We are not strangers to experiences that are painful. We are also familiar with failures of  the past and heartaches of the past.

I am reading about all those things in two quotes I found in the weekly publication called COFFEE NEWS. I take also note of the fact that we don’t know the authors of the two quotes.

Here they are:

“Getting over a painful experience is much like crossing monkey bars. You have to let go at some point in order to move forward.” – Anonymous

“The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past; you can’t go on well in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.” – Unknown

“LASS DIE VERGANGENHEIT RUHEN”,  (Forget the past)  was the title of a little booklet I remember reading in Germany when I became a true follower of the Lord Jesus Christ.

WERNER HEUKELBACH was the author of the little booklet.
